Author/Novelist Intelligence Experts

Mercor is seeking Experienced Authors, Novelists, and Screenwriters for an exclusive project with a leading AI research lab.

You're a good fit if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in fiction writing, non-fiction writing, screenwriting, or creative writing.
• Deep subject matter expertise in plot development, character creation, world-building, and literary techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in editing, manuscript critique, or narrative analysis.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience publishing books, articles, scripts, or short stories.
• High attention to detail and the ability to provide nuanced feedback on AI-generated text and storytelling techniques.

More details about the role:

• You will interface directly with prominent AI researchers from the lab in a private Slack channel and in meetings.
• We'd like experts to commit 20 hrs/week a minimum, but we'd have a preference for people who can work more.
• This project is scoped to last a minimum of 2-4 weeks, but may be extended.
• The work will involve crafting questions, evaluating model responses, and solving problems in your area of expertise. The goal of the project is to improve the model’s capabilities in this domain!
