Mercor is building the future of hiring through AI — and our product is where that future comes to life. As our Product Designer, you’ll define and own the look, feel, and flow of the Mercor platform, helping us scale a product that is both beautifully simple and increasingly powerful.

You’ll sit at the intersection of product design, graphic design, and front-end execution. From crafting high-fidelity designs to driving UX across complex workflows, you’ll be responsible for shaping how users — from top-tier talent to internal operators — experience Mercor.

### **Key Responsibilities**

- Own the design of core user journeys across the product, from initial flows to polished UI
    
- Collaborate with engineering and product to implement new features and refine existing ones
    
- Drive design decisions through a balance of taste, data, and user empathy
    
- Bring clarity to complex user experiences as our product evolves and scales
    
- Create and maintain a clean, modern visual language inspired by tools like Notion and powered by elements like Tailwind
    
- Work closely with our Head of Design to articulate and evolve Mercor’s design philosophy & culture
    
- Help tutorialize the product experience — ensuring that users know what to do without needing to be told
    

### **Qualifications**

- 4–8+ years in product design, ideally at fast-moving startups or high-bar product teams
    
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates both visual polish and UX depth
    
- Experience working closely with engineers and understanding implementation constraints
    
- Comfort jumping into product discussions, prioritization, and pushing features across the finish line
    
- Proven ability to operate autonomously and define design processes in ambiguous environments
    
- Passion for building products that are intuitive, beautiful, and a joy to use
    
- Excitement to work directly with founders and influence company-wide product direction
    
- Bonus: Experience building internal tools, marketplaces, or AI-driven products
