Silicon Valley’s top AI companies work with Mercor to find domain experts who can help train and evaluate their models. As a Strategic Projects Lead (SPL) at Mercor, you will drive the tactical execution of these projects, ensure top-notch service to customers, and single-handedly drive millions of dollars in revenue. In doing so, you will have a significant impact on Mercor’s long-term growth. A Strategic Projects Lead will report directly to either Mercor’s Chief Operating Officer or Head of Operations.

## **Key Responsibilities**

- Generate $10M+ in revenue by executing large-scale projects on behalf of leading AI labs and tech companies
    
- Source, vet, and manage the performance of hundreds of domain experts from different disciplines (e.g., software engineering, medicine, law)
    
- Foster strong relationships with researchers at leading AI labs and tech companies, anticipating client needs and identifying opportunities for project expansion

Strategic Projects Lead

## **About the Role**

We’re recruiting Model Interpretability Analysts to help our AI models make better decisions when evaluating candidate profiles. In this role, you’ll focus on reviewing model outputs, spotting inconsistencies or biases, and suggesting ways to improve how the model reasons. You don’t need deep technical or machine learning expertise; this position is all about careful attention to detail, clear communication, and strong collaborative skills to uncover and resolve issues.

## **Key Responsibilities**

- Review AI outputs to identify errors or patterns in how the model interprets data.
    
- Use an annotation platform to label and document these observations, ensuring information is organized and easy to share.
    
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (including product, data, and engineering) to discuss findings, propose improvements, and refine the model’s logic.
    
- Help develop a simple, organized way (taxonomy) to categorize different types of errors or issues.
    
- Suggest enhancements to workflows and tools to streamline the annotation process and improve overall accuracy.

As part of Executive Operations at Mercor, you'll work directly with our COO to get things done. Your main job is simple: take work off his plate so he can focus on the most important decisions across all departments and functions.

You'll report directly to Mercor’s COO, observe how decisions are made, and gradually handle more responsibility.
